In January 2019 PanKind was born. It began as an idea whilst Lyndon was working one afternoon at the PanAmor Handpans workshop in Exeter. The idea involved taking these beautiful instruments into therapeutic and educational settings to encourage wellbeing. Since March we have tested this idea by taking handpans into hospices, run a number of school workshops, 1:1 sessions with people with anxiety, depression and learning disabilities as well as giving numerous performances and talks. We aim to offset our costs for these type of services by running corporate team building workshops using handpans plus a variety of other handpan experiences and workshops. We are now ready to launch as a Social Enterprise Business and will be registered as such very soon.

We feel that we can offer something quite unique. Lyndon has played handpan for the past 5 years, is a qualified teacher and works part-time with PanAmor handpans in Exeter helping to make handpans. Laura is an experienced music leader, singer, songwriter and musician, and has worked with organisations such as the Philharmonia Orchestra and the BBC.

We have had a huge amount of help and support from a fantastic organisation, Local Spark, in developing our idea for this business and were given the opportunity earlier this year to pitch our idea to a team of 'Dragons' at the first Torbay Local Entrepreneurs Forum, organised by Local Spark. We received a huge amount of support from a wide range of people and organisations, and wouldn't be at the point that we are now without this.

Our website is almost complete and will be launched soon. We will also be holding a launch event at the beginning of next year.

Please consider support us in our exciting new venture by sharing our page and posts and telling your friends about what we are doing. If you would like more information or to get involved with one of our workshops please do get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

Huge thanks to Jane Brady from Emergency Design for working with us to create our logo.
